Healthier Homemade Apple Dumplings
I love homemade apple dumplings! Recently I pulled out my mom's recipe from the Betty Crocker cookbook, (some of you know the exact cookbook I'm talking about - the red checkered one with the torn edges, pictures of women in 1950's with their aprons. And the new "modern" kitchen? It makes me chuckle every time I look at it). On a whim, I decided to put their apple dumpling recipe into WW Recipe Builder - 28 points or 802 calories per apple dumpling! Really? Are you kidding me? That's way too ...
Cranberry Orange Scones
About this recipe
These cranberry orange scones are definitely not your average English tea scone. They are made with fresh cranberries and are light, fluffy, moist and delicious-more like biscuits. I do believe they are best the first day. Of course you can eat them the next day and even freeze them, (we'll talk about that later) but in my opinion, they are best right out of the oven!
I modified my original recipe slightly to make them a bit more healthier. Decreasing the sugar, adding ...

Instant Pot Homemade Tomato Sauce- No Peeling, Coring or Seeding!
Want to make an easy Instant Pot Homemade Tomato Sauce with fresh tomatoes?
While I love my Quick and Easy Roasted Cherry Tomato Sauce, I also enjoy making a sauce that takes longer with fresh plum tomatoes such as San Marzano tomatoes. Normally I'll simmer it for hours on the stove after having spent a lot of time peeling, coring and seeding the tomatoes first. After buying a 15 pound box of San Marzanos recently (because I didn't grow enough), I decided this was the year to figure out ...

If you have the turkey sliders and buns in the freezer, you can reheat them in a jiffy for a quick lunch or dinner.
Easy Instant Pot Gourmet Chicken Cordon Bleu
How did this Easy Instant Pot Gourmet Chicken Cordon Bleu come about?
Last week I was in the mood for Chicken Cordon Bleu. I was thinking I might try and make a comfort type dish in my Instant Pot. I had my own Chicken Cordon Bleu recipe in mind to make over but I decided to check out the internet for inspiration and found one that sounded pretty good. In fact the recipe I found was rated high and one person said her family loved it so much - she made it twice in one week! Score!
