Spice Mixes 1 result

I love to create spice mixes to have on hand. I often save and reuse old spice containers and use them for my own blends. My favorite one at the moment is my Chipotle Seasoning. It’s in an old large Cumin container I bought from Costco. Because I use the Chipotle Seasoning so much, when I’m ready to refill,  I multiply the recipe 5 times to refill my container.

Saves Time and Money

Not only does having the spice mixes on hand save time but it also saves you money. You can make a big batch of the blend for a fraction of what it would cost you at a kitchen specialty store and most times it tastes better.

Create Your Own

Feel free to use my spice mix recipes as a guide.  If you like it more spicy or less spicy, adjust the seasonings to your family’s tastes.  Feel free to create your own! There’s no right or wrong way, just how you prefer it.

Use Them for Gifts

One of my favorite gifts to give away are my spice mixes. I buy decorative jars from Amazon and make up a big batch of my blend, fill the jars and give them away. It’s a nice personalized gift.
